Piaggio to Launch Vespa on 26th April

Get ready to ride Vespa scooter soon. Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of Piaggio & C S.p.A of Italy, is all set to launch Vespa scooter on 26th April. The first model to roll out is Vespa LX125. The company will also inaugurate its Baramati Plant on 28th April. Roberto Colaninno, chairman and CEO of Piaggio Group will be attending both the occasion.
Ravi Chopra, chairman and managing director, Piaggio Vehicles (India) said, “We reckon there is tremendous excitement brewing among Indian consumers to experience the original Italian Vespa that is an icon of distinctive lifestyle. With its Indian foray, Vespa will serve the unmet need of fashion, style and brand conscious individuals who’d like to make a unique statement in mobility.”
Vespa LX125 is powered by 125cc engine which generates power of 10bhp and maximum torque of 8 Nm. The power and torque figure are really impressive. Vespa is an iconic brand which was invented in 1946. Vespa brand is always known for its elegant and stylish look since its invented. Piaggio has made clear that Vespa will be positioned in the premium band so expect a hefty ex-showroom price for the same.

  1. current Indian market is dominated by bikes. Moreover scooter and moped section is less costly to bikes. So a scooter with too high cost will find its ways hard to enter in Indian market.
